American University of Sharjah I HECD
Roots of Hope: Reconnecting Higher Education with Nature and Biodiversity was a session delivered at the Higher Education Climate Dialogue (HECD) at the American University of Sharjah. Led by Erfan Firouzi, the session explored how universities can re-embed nature, biodiversity, and ecological literacy into teaching, research, and campus culture—empowering students to become informed, hopeful, and active stewards of the living world.

Reviving Nature was a session hosted with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), led by Erfan Firouzi. ACTIONPAKT Philippines
Biodiversity and Human Health was a workshop delivered with ACTIONPAKT Philippines, led by Erfan Firouzi. The session explored the vital links between biodiversity and human well-being—from clean air and water to nutrition, medicine, disease regulation, and mental health—while engaging Filipino youth in understanding how protecting nature is essential to protecting ourselves.
SUSTAINOVATE Season 1.0
Erfan Firouzi served as a First Round Judge for SUSTAINOVATE Season 1.0 – Summit on Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future, organized by Earth’s Ants and the Department of Disaster Science and Climate Resilience at the University of Dhaka. In this role, he evaluated youth-led sustainability ideas, mentored emerging innovators, and supported solutions addressing climate resilience, biodiversity, and environmental challenges.

Erfan Firouzi was featured as a STEM Thought Leader at SAITED 2023, where he delivered an inspiring talk to students at SAI International School.
